It is alright for a bit of hair to show (if your hair is long, you have a fringe or your head covering is mesh). The gurudwara will have free head coverings if you forget yours. You will be permitted to remove this at the lunch next door after the ceremony. Where possible, outfits should be conservative.

A little charming city with plenty of good food!
Nearest international airports are Amritsar (ATQ): 2 hours drive or 1.5 hour train & Delhi (DEL): 6 hour drive or 4 hour train
We recommend staying in any of the 5 star hotels in Ludhiana, i.e. Raddison, Hyatt or Park Plaza. For a cheaper alternative we recommend Maharaja Regency
The city has plenty of Uber (which can be reserve for a whole day if desired). We will also be organising shuttle vans for the reception as Ubers are hard to get late at night near the reception venue
Please carry enough cash with you as some places don't accept foreign cards! Australians please note you will also need to apply for a visa prior to travel (at least 2 weeks in advance)
KL has a vibrant night life and fantastic food. There is much to explore in the city!
Fly into Kuala Lumpur International (KUL): 1 hour drive from the city
We recommend staying in any of the 5 star hotels in KL (such as Grand Mercure, ParkRoyal Collection or Le Méridien). For three star hotel options, we would suggest Moxy Kuala Lumpur Chinatown or Fairfield by Marriott Chow Kit Kuala Lumpur. We recommend staying in the city centre or Bukit Bintang area for easy access to shops, eateries and wedding festivities!
We would recommend using Grab (Malaysia’s Uber). You might want to set up the app with your details before you travel the country.
Please note, KL traffic can be at a standstill for an hour or two between the hours of 8-10am and 5-7pm. Please plan your day accordingly. Australians please note that you don't need a visa for Malaysia but you have to fill in a digital arrival card up to three days before your arrival
Please RSVP by 16th August. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.
